Few large events garner as much attention and attendance as the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction. It’s a must-do for visitors to the area, on the bucket list for many across the world and definitely a hot ticket every year for Valley residents.

For the last 46 years, enthusiasts from all over the world have flocked to the Barrett-Jackson collector car auctions. Widely regarded as a barometer of the industry, the auctions have evolved over the years into world-class automotive lifestyle events where thousands of the world’s most sought-after, unique and valuable automobiles cross the block in front of a global audience — in person and on live national and international television.

In addition to here in Arizona, there are auctions in Palm Beach, Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, and in Las Vegas. Behind the auction action is Craig Jackson, Chairman and CEO of the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company. Jackson is responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s multi-media empire that serves the collector car industry.

Born and raised into the automotive lifestyle, Jackson followed in his father’s footsteps. In 1971, his father Russ and business partner Tom Barrett founded Barrett-Jackson, which included an automotive repair shop. The young Jackson soon became involved, and his extensive education on classic car restoration resulted in numerous Best of Show and First Place trophies. Today, he has earned a reputation as one of the worlds most respected and sough-after collector car and restoration experts.

Jackson worked hard and climbed the corporate ladder, assuming the leadership position in 1995. Since then, he has constantly worked to grow the company, including deals in TV broadcasting where, for the first time, enthusiasts experienced the thrill of an auction from the comfort of their living rooms, and deals with large corporate partners that make the auctions true lifestyle destinations, featuring lectures from industry experts, celebrity involvement, huge retail expos, new car launches and demos and so much more.

In addition to his business leadership, Jackson has a strong commitment to philanthropy that has resulted in over $94 million being raised to date. In 2009, he launched the Barrett-Jackson Cancer Research Fund at TGen in Memory of father Russ and brother, Brian Jackson.

AzBL, and along with our exclusive event partner MidFirst Private Bank are thrilled to be bringing Jackson back; he spoke to us in 2006, to give AzBL participants the chance to hear from this industry giant and get an update from him 10+ years later.  This time, Jackson will offer his insight into the auto auction industry and discuss how he manages the many corporate partner relationships associated with the auction events as well as taking your questions during a special Q&A. Tickets for this unique AzBL breakfast event taking place, Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Barrett-Jackson Auction, WestWorld are priced $100 per person and include breakfast and entry into the Barrett-Jackson Auction all day that day. Tables of 10 are priced $1250. The breakfast will be held in the Monterra Banquet Hall inside the auction grounds at WestWorld, 16601 N. Pima Rd, Scottsdale. This event is sure to sell out, registration deadline December 29.
