The Arizona Business Leadership Associations, Inc.’s Leadership Award Criteria
The Arizona Business Leadership Association, Inc. provides its members with the opportunity to pursue excellence in business leadership through its people and programs.
Purpose of the Arizona Business Leadership Award
The purpose of the Arizona Business Leadership Award ™ is to recognize an Arizona business that has excelled in aligning itself with the goals of the Arizona Business Leadership Association. Strong Arizona companies are vital to our economic landscape. AzBL strives to recognize organizations that embody our ideals.
Criteria and Minimum Requirements
Demonstration of how the company has (i) Shown leadership within the Arizona business community AND within the nominee’s own industry (ii) Excelled at financial growth (iii) Created strong company culture (iv) Promoted community activity (v) Supported business education
Minimum requirement for consideration is consistent revenues and sustained profits for at least the last three fiscal years and annual revenues in excess of $5,000,000 for the last fiscal year. To maintain the confidential nature of financial information of private companies being recommended, AzBL does not require financial information be submitted with the application.
Any member of AzBL may nominate a company that meets the minimum criteria for the award. To be considered, nominations must be submitted on the form provided below, and must be received by AzBL no later than 5:00 p.m., October 31, 2016. Members of the awards selection committee cannot have a direct related interest to any of the nominated companies and may submit additional company nominations for consideration.
After evaluation of the nominations, companies will be selected by the Awards Committee for further consideration. At that time, detailed information will be requested from the selected companies to aid the Committee in its selection process. The Committee will visit final candidates to gain a fuller appreciation and evaluate the Company’s qualifications, operations and organization. The recipient will be notified following the Committee visits. The CEO will represent the selected Company to receive the award will be honored at the Dinner & Presentation in May 2018, the specific date and location of the event to be announced and will be based on the honoree’s availability.
