After nearly 20 years as a business development and marketing professional, I made the decision to follow my avidity for leadership training and launched U & Improved in 2008. Now an award-winning personal and professional development company, U & Improved has an overriding mission of providing sustainable and purposeful leadership skills that tie directly to increased profitability, staff loyalty and retention, and a corporate culture that empowers emerging leaders and attracts new talent. We give our clients tangible tools to improve internal collaboration and communication in a way that results in loyalty, trust and a culture of coaction where every person feels valued and contributes as a leader.

U & Improved offers a curriculum of four, two-and-a-half-day intensives. The core classes, U the Leader and U the Communicator, are designed to impart the experience and skills necessary to immediately lead and communicate with more confidence, awareness and focus. The advanced leadership classes, U the Warrior and U the Samurai, are indoor-outdoor experiences created for high-functioning individuals who seek to challenge their inner strength and take actionable steps toward a purpose-driven career and life. Our trainers are among the best in the country and unlike other leadership development companies, our classes are small and intimate and allow for individual coaching and feedback. From C-level executives to small business owners, graduates emerge with the knowledge, tools and experience to immediately be more effective and responsive leaders. We also offer fast-track workshops and custom corporate programs.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my career is keynote speaking. Connecting with an audience and inspiring them re-evaluate their direction and look at themselves through a different lense feeds my personal passion. I feel like what sets me apart from other speakers is that I focus on insights and tools necessary to take actionable steps toward creating the career and home life people want and deserve. My connection with people is what ultimately drives me to do what I do!

Outside of my professional life, I love spending time with my two daughters. I have raised them solely since they were 1 and 3 years old, so our time together is by far my favorite activity of all. Additionally I love to travel, (especially to Europe), read self-development books, go to the movies, shop—anything that allows me to grow, learn and be around other people!

I was introduced to AzBL by Chris Sharfner, and I am excited and honored to be part of this thriving business community. I look forward to contributing to the organization and being a part of such a dynamic group of Valley leaders.
